The Wally Foreman Foundation extends its thanks to the Narrogin community after a recent fundraising event raised more than $1000 for the charity.
Narrogin's Celebration of Sport was a local event organised by Mark Foreman, the area's RadioWest breakfasts announcer and son of the late Wally Foreman.
The Celebration of Sport was a light-hearted series of competitions, beginning with volleyball, progressing to a soccer penalty shoot out, bocce, and ending with billiards.
A combination of entry fees for the Celebration of Sport and donations from the Narrogin community initially raised about $750, before swelling to more than $1000.
The Wally Foreman Foundation thanks Mark Foreman for his tremendous efforts, as well as all of those who helped to pull the day together, the participants and donors to the cause.
